BURGUNDY and Southern France Wine
Festival
Saturday 8th
March 2003
The Old Bridge Hotel, Huntingdon
A
“walk-round” tasting of some of the world’s most famous vineyards:
Chablis and Mâcon
Beaujolais (including Fleurie, Morgon etc)
Côte de Beaune – the
great whites (Meursault & co)
Côte de Nuits – serious reds
(Nuits St Georges etc)
Most of the reds will of course be wines for
keeping, so we will include some New
World Pinot Noir, Burgundy look-alikes ready for drinking now. The merchants showing their wines are some
of the UK’s finest independents, including some true Burgundy specialists:
Noel Young
Wines

white Burgundy vs New World Chardonnay;
David Gleave on red Burgundy vs New World Pinot Noir.
There’s
also a post festival celebration supper, a Fine Wine Dinner, a snack lunch menu
on the Saturday and the option of the whole weekend.
