TIGER TIGER
STOMPING GROUND FOR THE VIRTIE
See the virtie in action at Tiger Tiger - a multifunctional 1800 capacity venue on Haymarket which has been attracting this every-growing market since opening just over a year ago.
Divided into seven distinct areas, each with a very different vibe and atmosphere, Tiger Tiger is a multitude of venues all rolled into one to cater for all eating and drinking occasions; whether its bar snacks and happy hour, cocktails, late night dining or dancing to the latest commercial sounds.
Open until 3am Monday to Saturday and with five different bar areas, a walk-in deli, a restaurant, a basement club and even a cashpoint machine, Tiger Tiger is a refreshing change from pretentious membership bars and minimalist style bars.
On the ground floor, the impressive main Tiger Bar with high ceilings and a vast overhanging sculpture of a tiger, together with a separate DJ booth and dance floor has a capacity for 500 people. Follow the grand sweeping staircase to the first floor to find both the Kaz Bar with its secluded booth seating or the Cocktail bar with its relaxed more lounge-like atmosphere.
Cocktails include house specialities such as Eye of the Tiger (gold rum, Malibu, Cranberry, orange and lime juices with a float of overproof rum), Black Forest Blackout (Blackberry brandy, creme de cacao and flaming overproof rum) and Slapper (Tequila, Armaretto, lime juice and grenadine) sitting alongside classical and contemporary creations.
In addition, Tiger Tiger offers an impressive daily happy hour between 5pm and 7pm when all wines and Champagnes, excluding house, are reduced by £6 and cocktails are just £2.50 each or £7.50 for a jug.
Taking its food as seriously as its drink, Tiger Tiger offers an extensive Mediterranean restaurant and bar snack menu. With last orders at 1am, Tiger Tiger is the ideal venue for a late night meal.
Open every night from 9pm is Tiger Tigerıs club playing a mix of pop classics and todayıs dance hits. With an additional two bars, jet black walls and red velvet seating around the edge of the dance floor the club has an electric atmosphere.
Add to this, unpretentious atmosphere plus a relaxed no nonsense door policy and Tiger Tiger offers a bar, restaurant and club experience all under one roof, allowing guests to match an area to their mood and occasion.
